When we go to get-togethers, birthday parties or wedding parties, we see that there is a fleet of waiters who are there to attend you. They will come one by one asking you to have starters and drinks.
If you are a vegetarian, but are being asked by different waiters for non-vegetarian starters than you feel bothered. Most of the times, you will not like watching the flesh on the bones wrapped in sausages and also don’t like their smell.
Also, when you have your share, and are filled upto the brim, you don’t want to be bothered all the time by the waiters. If the waiters keep on approaching you then you feel as if someone is intruding in your space. Therefore, I have thought of a simple technique which makes the whole experience more efficient and enjoyable.
In the parties, the host can arrange for a desk where the guests can collect the colourful tags which signify different meaning. If the guests choose to be approached by only those waiters who are serving vegetarian, then they can stick a green dot (a very small green circular sticker) on their shirt pockets. This will serve as a signal to the waiters that the guest is a vegetarian. This is something similar to setting your status on facebook.
Non-vegetarians do not need any sticker as they can eat vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian and won’t mind being approached by waiters serving vegetarian starters / dishes.
There can be stickers of different colours to signify different things (eg. If a guest does not want to be approached by any waiter, then he can but a sticker of black colour), however, to keep the mechanism simple and efficient, there should be maximum 2-3 types of stickers in the party).
This small and simple technique can come handy especially for those expensive 5 star and 7 star hotels which leave no stone unturned to make the experience of their guests a memorable one.
